The middle line is in Goddard's transcription except that "underhook"/"Polish hook" is represented by "subscript left half-ring" ("underhook" is not present in the SIL IPA fonts). The bottom line is Goddard's word-by-word translation, with [occasional additions or emendations by me in square brackets].
₃. Line-by-line translation by me, largely informed by Goddard's translation, but attempting to translate every sentence, and to do so more literally (within the limits of English readability).
₄. Idiom: O-djii' noolsit (O's heart falls), translated as "my heart is glad" in Ray/Goddard translation.
₅. Clitic: -ii, occurs nowhere else, translated as "because" by Ray/Goddard.
₆. Idiom?: shaa uu-yeeh (sun under-it) may refer specifically to the place of the sunrise--as is the case in Coast Yuki. Goddard translates it as such.
₇. He had covered his head in a blanket.
₈. Said by mole, then lizard, in the fuller version.
₉. Calling the names as he cut off pieces and put them in the sky.
₁₀. Singular subject, implying (presumably) that the action is to taken separately by each of the two.

Goddard's Translation

He (Coyote) slept with his head toward the west, the north, the south, the east. When he slept with his head toward the east his forehead grew warm.
"I dreamed about the sun in the east," he said.
He started away. Finding three field-mice he took them with him for dogs. "My heart is glad because I found you, my three dogs," he told them. He took them to the place of the sunrise. "You must gnaw off the ropes and then poke me with your noses." Blowing through a hole in a blanket he sang "You sleep, you sleep."
He carried the sun from the east. "It is carried off," somebody was heard to shout.
"I was filing it," she said.
"You were hiding it. Both of you become stones right where you are standing," he told them.
He carried the sun along.
"Kaldac, atciguttcuktco, sunLans, suttuldac, gooyane," he said (naming them as he cut them from the mass). He sat down and studied about the matter.
"Moon, sun, fly into the sky. Stars become many in it. In the morning you shall come up. You shall go down. You shall go around the world.^221 In the east you shall rise again in the morning. You shall furnish light."
The boy went outside. "What is it, father I "he asked. The woman went out. She saw stars had sprung out of the sky.
All the people made him presents of all kinds.
